We’re expanding our real estate portfolio with a new development, Hurstbourne Commons. Located off Hurstbourne Parkway and adjacent to the Meijer shopping center, Hurstbourne Commons will be a 70-acre mixed-use development.
Anticipated plans for the property include three distinct lifestyle components: a villas-style community of 107 single-family detached homes, with prices starting in the $300K range; a blend of 312 garden-style apartments and 126 townhomes that will offer shared open space and amenities such as a clubhouse, pool and more; a senior campus consisting of independent-living housing and an assisted care facility.
“We recognized the need for a master-planned, mixed-use development in the area. It’s situated off a major retail corridor in Louisville, so future residents will enjoy convenient access to many shopping and dining options and easy access to nearby interstates. And for the surrounding businesses, it creates a new customer base to pull from. As developers, our goal is to connect people and places and that’s what Hurstbourne Commons will accomplish,” says Bob Thieneman, Vice President of RJ Thieneman.
There will be four access points to the development with the primary access off Hurstbourne Parkway and Watterson Trail. This will allow residents of Hurstbourne Commons along with neighboring residents to enjoy easy access to grocery stores, restaurants and other retailers and services on Hurstbourne Parkway.
We recently filed a zoning application and development is expected to begin in January 2021. If you have any questions or want to learn more about Hurstbourne Commons, contact Bob Thieneman at (502) 491-4645.
