“We chose Rock Springs because we could a build and customize a home to fit our lifestyle.” – Vinay
Vinay and Manikya are in the process of building their dream home. They moved to the United States after attending medical school in India and decided to make Louisville their home. They chose Rock Springs to build a home to fit their growing family and unique needs.
Vinay and Manikya love that there is quick and easy access to the interstate and to the hospital where they work. However, what really drew this growing family to Rock Springs was the ability to choose their homesite and build their house from the ground up. Vinay explained that as a family they wouldn’t use all the features that came with a standard American home like a dining room or home office. They said that space would be better used for a large kitchen, master bathroom or a room for their family to stay in when they visit from India. They discussed all of these needs with the builder who designed a floor plan to fit their needs.
Another one of the details that they were excited to incorporate into their home was a master bedroom and second bedroom both on the first floor so they wouldn’t have to trek up and down the stairs to get to their 10 month old daughter’s nursery. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs to accommodate visiting family.
The ability to customize their home also allowed them to make unique choices when it came to color and design. They decided to go bold in their kitchen using a Cobalt blue paint on their island. They also chose to incorporate that color into their back splash to create a beautiful and one-of-a-kind kitchen.
Vinay and Manikya were able to create their custom, dream home in Rock Springs to fit the specific needs of their growing family. With the help of their realtor Paula Thieneman-Bates and Deville Homes they were able to pick out every detail, small and large, of their home. They plan to move in mid-July, just in time to celebrate their daughter’s first birthday in their new home.
