RJ Thieneman is happy to announce the installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of La Grange Road and Springs Station Road.

The initial goal was to improve the traffic flow through the Shops of Forest Springs shopping center and the surrounding residential areas. Drivers will experience a change in their route that will result in more convenient and safer shopping experience. “Our retailers should experience increased traffic to in the shopping center. Our goal is to build better communities and continually assess and improve our product offerings,” said Brian Thieneman, CEO.

With research, it was discovered that the traffic funnels to Old Factory Lane, and the neighborhoods surrounding this area. The new signal should relieve some of that traffic and help with congestion during the busiest times of the day.

This process of adjusting the traffice at this location has been a long two year process.  Approvals were required from the state which involved studies to show the necessity for a new signal. Once the state agreed, an engineer was hired to develop plans for the signal installation.   Arrow Electrical Co. then assumed the position as  electrical contractors. For the past eight weeks, they’ve been working to get this light up and running.

“We believe this new traffic signal will significantly lessen the cut-through traffic through the shopping center and allow for safer intersections for everyone that travels in this part of town.” stated Thieneman.

The signal will be in full operation beginning Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 10:00 am.
