When it comes to houses, we take style very seriously. There are just so many different kinds of houses and different layouts to choose from. So some RJ Thieneman staff members took this quiz to see what style of house we should live in! Read our answers below:
Our Marketing Manager Christy, Real Estate Coordinator Gina Byers and Commercial Lease Administrator Amy all got “Shingles/Coastal style.” This type of house is just as the name suggests- it has plenty of shingles on the roof! They also learned that their soul belongs near the sea.
Executive Assistant Stephanie got “Italianate.” These beautiful houses were a classic 19th century style of architecture. They are known best for their low-pitched or flat roofs.
Our Controller Mary got “Craftsman” style. Her description said she likes things that are hand built and have a history. She also prefers to let the materials speak for themselves. Her dream home would be filled with wood, according to the quiz!
Our Project Bookkeeper Adrianne VanMeter got a “Farmhouse.” The quiz said she is a country person at heart, with a love for rolling landscapes and comfortable houses.
Our intern Eiman got “Mid-century.” This means she likes homes with modern, clean lines and low-slung flat roofs.” These homes typically have floor to ceiling windows that allow plenty of light in and an open floor plan.
Our accounting assistant Stephanie got a “Colonial Revival” style house. This style was used especially during the Revolutionary War and is a very all-American style of housing. Just the entrance alone is often breathtaking: an elaborate front door, skylights and symmetrical front windows.
