After three years of living in Chicago, Louisville natives, Chris and Alicia decided to move back to their hometown. Alicia grew up in the Highlands area and Chris, in St. Matthews. The couple originally thought they would move back to one of these areas to raise their family, until they found a new home in Rock Springs. “We loved the open floor plan but the private lot is what really hooked us,” said Alicia.

The kids, Gabriel (8), James (6), and Jordan (4), love hanging out in the kitchen and the basement, but when the spring and summertime rolls around, Alicia says, “You will find them in our swimming pool. They are like fish in the water!”

Chris and Alicia’s Rock Springs home is considered “the family’s hub.” Alicia tells us birthdays, holidays and family get-togethers are usually hosted there. “We even have a chili dinner for the families in the neighborhood before the kids go trick-or-treating on Halloween. We love having a space that’s so awesome for entertaining!” The back patio/pool area is perfect for gathering with friends and family for an evening cocktail or grilling out.

When asked about what they like most about Rock Springs, Alicia said, “Our amazing neighbors! They are some of the most caring people we’ve ever met and we even call our neighbors to the right our children’s third set of grandparents- that’s how close we all are.”

The Kriegs love their home in Rock Springs for countless reasons including the privacy of their lot, great entertaining space, and making memories with family and friends.

“We are a family that enjoys the simple things in life: laughter, love and friendship. Our home embodies these things.” -Alicia
